Fish Creek, Wis. (August 13, 2020) – Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Door Community Auditorium (DCA) has canceled the remainderof its 2020 season. The majority of cancelled shows have been or will be rescheduled for 2021.
DCA had previously pivoted to a fall-centered season, hoping the pandemic would abate sufficiently to allow for socially distanced performances, but Wisconsin’s recent spike in Covid cases, as well as cancellations by many of the touring artists slated to perform at DCA this fall, led the Auditorium to cancel 2020 programming altogether.
“Sharing live performances with friends, neighbors, and strangers is one of my very favorite parts of life,” says DCA Executive Director Cari Lewis. “Live performance has the possibility of healing, connecting, and inspiring in ways that few activities can. I continue dreaming of the day when we return to sharing live songs, dance, stories, and silence at the Auditorium.”
2021 highlights will include The Four Tops, Tanya Tucker, Old Crow Medicine Show, Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives, and Chick Corea & The Spanish Heart Band.
Ticket holders and playbill advertisers may donate their purchases back to DCA, receive an account credit for future use, or request a refund. DCA’s office is currently closed to the public, but staff can be reached at 920-868-2728 or boxoffice@dcauditorium.org.
DCA is appreciative of the generous donors and sponsors who help bring meaningful and exciting programming to our community. Individuals interested in helping DCA weather the financial challenges of DCA’s cancelled season are encouraged to contact Cari Lewis at director@dcuditorium.org.
