Door County Auditorium Season Announcement

May 1, 2026 by Laurel Ciohon

Highlights Include Don McLean, Little Feat, Valerie June, I’m With Her, Sierra Hull, The War & Treaty, and The Wood Brothers

Fish Creek, Wis. (May 1, 2026) – Door County Auditorium (DCA) is pleased to announce its 2026-27 performance schedule, featuring an eclectic array of Main Stage performers that includes Don McLean, Little Feat, Valerie June, I’m With Her, Sierra Hull, The War & Treaty, The Wood Brothers, and many more. The first show of the season, The Wallflowers, is already sold out.

This, DCA’s 35th anniversary year, will also be the inaugural season of The Cramer Exchange, the new, smaller venue across the street from DCA. The Cramer Exchange will host many different types of programs in 2026, including comedy, dance for kids and adults, movies, acoustic singer-songwriters in the round, jazz combos, and a day camp. The Cramer will also be open two hours prior to all summer Main Stage shows, offering music by Paul Taylor and refreshments.

In addition to the new building, DCA announces one more change: The organization’s name will now be “Door County Auditorium” (a shift from the previous “Door Community Auditorium”).

DCA executive director Cari Lewis said, “This is one of the most exciting season rollouts I can remember in my years at DCA. Not only is our slate of Main Stage performers vibrant and delightful, we are also looking forward to exploring the incredible potential of our new space The Cramer Exchange. We’ll be celebrating a new venue, new branding, new programs, and new possibilities—all while serving the same caring and inspiring community.”

June

The Main Stage season officially begins on June 12 with The Wallflowers (already sold out). June on The Main Stage will also include the premiere of a pat mAcdonald concert film (June 14), ’70s legends Little Feat (June 26), and mandolin virtuoso Sierra Hull (June 27).

Programming at The Cramer Exchange also begins in June when Elena Santiago teaches a series of ballet classes for kids June 22.

July

The Main Stage continues in July with Door-County-favorite-turned-Grammy-winner JT Nero (July 10), a double bill of Door County’s own Genevieve Heyward, fresh off American Idol, and roots supergroup Big Richard (July 17), earworm rockers BoDeans (July 23), “masters of soulful folk” The Wood Brothers (July 24), and “American Pie” icon Don McLean (July 29).

July at The Cramer Exchange: On July 2, Billy Dave Sherman & The Hedgehog Republic host a hedgehog wedding and dance party to kick off the new venue. Programming continues with comedy/magic variety show The Zabrecky Hour (July 6), cross-cultural roots outfit Cristina Vane Trio (July 13), and a “salsa social” featuring dance instruction by Elena Santiago, with the bar open and a food truck on site (July 15). Santiago will also offer modern dance classes for kids July 20.

August

In addition to Peninsula Music Festival’s annual residency at DCA, August will feature three Main Stage shows: Hollywood Nights, a tribute to Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band, on August 2; G. Love & Special Sauce with special guest Todd Carey on August 23; and luminous Americana trio I’m With Her on August 25. The Cramer Exchange will screen the “dam fine movie” Hundreds of Beavers August 16 and host jazz funk dance classes from Elena Santiago August 17. Last year’s popular performer 23 Skidoo & The Secret Agency will return for a rhyme writing residency and day camp called “Rhymes of Passage” August 24-28.

Fall and Early Winter

Fall Main Stage shows include the Happy Together Tour, back by popular demand on September 4, Tennessee singer-songwriter Valerie June September 11, New York City collective ShoutHouse September 19, joyful bluesy fusion duo The War & Treaty October 9, classical/hip-hop duo Black Violin November 18, and “Sweden’s Queen of Swing” Gunhild Carling December 11.

Fall in The Cramer Exchange will bring Green Bay band Pegasis September 25, Eric Lewis and Josh Harty in the round October 23, and “We Three Springs: In the Christmas Spirit” by Door County favorites Three Springs December 19 and 20.

2027

Main Stage and Cramer Exchange programming will continue into 2027, when Jazz at Lincoln Center Presents “World on a String: Swinging Songs of Broadway” February 16 and gravity-defying dance/theater troupe NoGravity April 4.

Other Events

In August, DCA once again hosts the first-rate classical music of Peninsula Music Festival. DCA also hosts a variety of community concerts throughout the season.

Tickets go on sale to the general public May 14. Special ticket pre-sales for DCA VIPs begin May 6 or May 7, depending on giving level.
