Door County Big Plant

May 5, 2025 by Laurel Ciohon

Ellison Bay, Wis. (May 5, 2025) – Often overlooked are the benefits trees offer in addition to beauty and shade.  Trees are one of nature’s hard working achievements, producing oxygen, purifying water, playing a vital role in regulating climate and controlling erosion. They provide food, wildlife habitat, lumber, paper, fuel, and more.

Door County North is offering trees to  our community: White Spruce, White Pine, and Balsam Fir. They will be available to the public at no charge on Thursday, May 8 from 1-3pm and Saturday, May 10 from 10am- 12pm at the Ellison Bay Welcome Center (Mink River Road and Hwy 42).

Between every two pines is a doorway to a new world.” – John Muir
