The Door County Maritime Museum is joining other museums and cultural institutions across the country in offering free admission to federal employees and their immediate families during the government shutdown.
In addition, since the Door County Maritime Museum is in Sturgeon Bay, an official Coast Guard City, the museum is extending this free admission offer to all members of the active duty U.S. Coast Guard and their immediate families.
Door County Maritime Museum Executive Director Kevin Osgood said, “We’re proud to join others in the Door County community who have stepped up to provide support to those who serve us. Our opening the museum to families who are most impacted by the government shutdown is just another way to show our appreciation for what they do every day.”
Free admission is valid for all Coast Guard and federal employees (photo ID required) and their immediate families (spouse and children) for the duration of the shutdown.
The Door County Maritime Museum is open seven days a week 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.
The Door County Maritime Museum is located along Sturgeon Bay’s west side waterfront at 120 North Madison Avenue. If you have questions, please call the museum at (920) 743-5958.
