The Door County Soil & Water Conservation Department is hosting three sessions in February to gather public input to use in developing the next ten-year Land and Water Resource Management Plan for Door County. The plan identifies Door County’s land and water resource concerns and develops goals that will guide department programs in the protection of those resources.
Members of the public are invited to participate at the location of their choice. Each location will have the same format and purpose.
• Monday February 17: 6:00 – 7:30 pm at Door County ADRC, 916 N 14th Ave, Sturgeon Bay
• Wednesday February 19: 6:00 – 7:30 pm at Kress Pavilion, 7845 Church St, Egg Harbor
• Thursday February 20: 6:00 – 7:30 pm at Brussels Town Hall, 1366 Junction Road, Brussels
Staff will give an overview of the 2011-2020 Land and Water Resource Management Plan, describe updated resource assessments, and review the process being used to develop the next ten-year plan. Attendees will have opportunity to share their perspectives on land and water resource concerns in Door County and provide input through an exercise facilitated by UW-Madison Extension.
