Sturgeon Bay, Wis. (March 10, 2025) – The Door County YMCA extends its heartfelt gratitude to the community for supporting the YMCA Day of Giving on March 4th, 2025. This special day was filled with generosity, appreciation, and support for the Y’s mission, strengthening our commitment to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
Through the support of individuals and businesses, the event featured impactful fundraising efforts, including T-shirt sales, Coffee & Cookie sales, a refreshing Tropical Punch stand, and Rubber Duck Race. Every purchase and donation contributed directly to the Y’s programs, ensuring that vital services continue to reach those in need throughout our community.
One of the highlights of the day was the Annual Duck Race, where 600 rubber ducks were sent down the waterslide in a fun and exciting competition. This much-anticipated event brought smiles and excitement to participants of all ages while raising additional support for the Y’s mission.
“We are grateful for the wonderful support shown on YMCA Day of Giving,” said Tonya Felhofer, CEO of the Door County YMCA. “The generosity of our community continues to inspire us and allows us to provide life-changing opportunities for individuals and families.”
A special thank you goes to our generous sponsors, Jandu Petroleum and Midwest Wire, whose support helped make this event possible. Their commitment to the Y and the greater Door County community plays a vital role in creating a stronger, healthier, and more connected future for all.
For those who missed the opportunity to give, donations are still being accepted to support the Annual Campaign. Contributions help sustain essential programs such as swim lessons, summer camps, senior wellness initiatives, and chronic disease prevention efforts.
