Carlsville, Wis. (July 7, 2023) – Door County Candle Company presented a check to Door-Tran in the amount of $1,250.00 from their Candles Creating Change / Local Support a Cause initiative. Door-Tran was the first non-profit to benefit from this new, local initiative. The agency was nominated by several people then their name was placed in a drawing and randomly chosen as the second quarter 2023 benefactor. Door-Tran was able to pick a 16 oz traditional candle scent to receive a portion of the sales throughout the months of April, May, and June. They chose the Door County Cherry Candle and it proved to be very popular.

Door-Tran is a non-profit organization located in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin that is dedicated to connecting people to transportation services that are affordable, available and accessible. They provide volunteer transportation, half-price taxi vouchers, no-interest vehicle purchase and repair loans, referrals and other services.
