Ephraim, WI (August 11, 2026) – Celebrate the end of summer with the Ephraim Business Council at Ephraim’s Sweet Summer Send-Off! Bring the whole family to Harborside Park from 1–4 pm on Saturday, August 22, for an afternoon of tasty treats, music, and fun.
Kids can enjoy a variety of creative activities throughout the afternoon, beginning with colorful face painting before watching the balloon artist twist and turn balloons into their favorite creations. Guests can also take home a one-of-a-kind keepsake from the caricaturist, who will be sketching personalized portraits throughout the event. Young artists won’t want to miss “Crazy Creature Creations”, a collaborative art activity sponsored by The Hardy Gallery and inspired by the Surrealist art movement. In this fun, family-friendly activity, each participant draws one section of a figure or creature, then folds the paper to hide their work before passing it to the next person. Without seeing what came before, the next artist adds the next section until a completely unexpected masterpiece is revealed.
From 2–3 pm, children’s entertainer Randy Peterson will perform at the Harborside Park gazebo. His catchy songs will have kids singing and dancing while also entertaining audiences of all ages.
Throughout the afternoon, visitors can participate in “Sven’s Hide and Seek”, a fun scavenger hunt featuring the mischievous local gnome, Sven. Keep your eyes peeled for the red bouncy balls he has hidden throughout Harborside Park. Lucky participants who discover one can take their treasure home as a special souvenir from the day.
Truck enthusiasts of all ages won’t want to miss the opportunity to get an up-close look at the Ephraim Fire Department’s fire trucks at Harborside Park. Visitors can explore their vehicles up close and meet the firefighters who help keep the community safe.
No summer celebration is complete without delicious food, and visitors won’t want to miss the tasty treats from Wilson’s Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlor. Attendees can enjoy walking tacos and hot dogs for lunch before treating themselves to a build-your-own sundae bar featuring fun toppings. Bring the whole family for an afternoon of delicious food, sweet treats, and lasting memories as you celebrate the final days of summer before the school bells ring.
Visitors are encouraged to bring school supply donations to support the Community Business Association’s school supply drive. All items collected will be distributed to Door County schools, helping local students get a great start to the new school year.
