Door County Talks: Nutrition/Healthy Eating with Jennifer Sherman
January 10, 2026 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Jennifer Sherman’s 10 a.m. lecture will be the first 2026 installment of DCA’s annual “Door County Talks” series. The entire 2026 series, which is sponsored by Cynthia and Tom LaConte, will explore the concept of “blue zones,” a term referring to regions in the world where people live to or beyond age 100 with few of the degenerative aging diseases prevalent in many parts of the world. Attendees are encouraged but not required to watch the Netflix series, Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones, before attending the events.
Jennifer Sherman is a dietician who received a master’s degree in human nutrition after working as an engineer for over 20 years. Jennifer’s uses her unique background and passion for good nutrition to help others navigate the often overwhelming number of food-related decisions we make each day. At DCA her talk will focus on nutrition and healthy eating.
All Door County Talks begin at 10:00 a.m. Lectures are free to the public; freewill donations are encouraged. Coffee and blue zone-friendly bakery will be available for purchase. Each talk will include a short break, a post-talk question-and-answer session with the speaker, and a chance to meet and reconnect with the year-round Door County friends and neighbors.
