Hobbits, Heroes, and Hovercrafts: Building Your Speculative Fiction Novel or Short Story

Led by Hal Prize winner Rebecca Zornow, “Hobbits, Heroes, and Hovercrafts: Building Your Speculative Fiction Novel or Short Story,” will teach participants how to create engaging fantasy/science fiction. Topics will include world building, readers’ expectations, and drafting and editing tips specific to the genre.

All participants will leave the workshop with a new, viable story idea. The session is appropriate for high school students as well as adults. Tuition is $15; scholarships are available. The class meets via Zoom, Tuesday, February 24, 4 – 5:30 pm.
