Family Fun for Father’s Day

June is here and that means Summer vacations, trips to the beach and Father’s Day! Dad’s are the best – they teach us so many things! From how to ride a bike, to changing the oil in your car, to how to drink the best coffee…or beer. Dads deserve to have a day all about them, so check out some fun ideas we put together to help you celebrate Dad:

1: Get a Good Breakfast: Bring Dad to Door County Coffee for a cup of his favorite coffee and some awesome breakfast. You can grab a seat out on our patio and enjoy some delicious food – like our Hashbrown Bake or the Breakfast Burrito – and the sunshine!

2: Find a Place to Hike: Door County is full of beautiful places to hike! Grab Dad, and take him to Peninsula State Park in Fish Creek, or Whitefish Dunes State Park in Sturgeon Bay. There are also fun places like Cave Point, near Whitefish Dunes, with plenty if caves and cliffs to explore!

3: Go Mini Golfing: Who doesn’t love a friendly little Father’s Day mini gold competition? From the Red Putter to Pirates Cove, Door County has lots of family-friendly places to improve your mini gold game! Just make sure Dad gets to win….once.

4: Fish the Day Away: It seems Door County was made for fishing, with it being completely surrounded by water and all. There are lakes throughout the county, Like Kangaroo and Clark Lakes, or take your fishing skills to Lake Michigan, to catch some trout and more! There are lots of charters for fishing out deep, or plenty of fun spaces to fish right off the dock, just pick the best spot for you and dad to reel in a big one!
