Fish Creek, Wis. (March 24, 2025) – On Friday, April 4, at 6:30 p.m., Door Community Auditorium (DCA) presents family-friendly band 23 Skidoo & The Secret Agency in a “rhyme residency” performance with Door County students. After charming kids and their families when they appeared at DCA last July, 23 Skidoo & The Secret Agency is returning in April to spend a week writing original songs with Gibraltar fifth graders. Students will be invited to perform their songs at the evening performance.
Sturgeon Bay students will also be attending a student matinee during the day.
Secret Agent 23 Skidoo is a Grammy-winning, internationally-touring, purple-velvet-tuxedo-wearing family funk phenomenon. Combining the positive, primal power of hip-hop with the surreal storytelling of science fiction, 23 Skidoo has concocted a potent potion that wows family crowds across the planet. The ingredients of his magic spells include reverence for the boundless minds of young children, respect for funk and soul music, and a belief in the power of the imagination to change the world in positive ways, both personal and universal. If you can imagine a band with Jim Henson on guitar, Shel Silverstein on bass, and PIXAR as the lead vocalist, you’ve pretty much got it.
Out with the Kids raves, “I contend that children who listen to Secret Agent 23 Skidoo are 83% more likely to be awesome, and I define awesome this way: unique, confident, mentally and physically strong, and most importantly of all, happy.”
23 Skidoo’s performance is made possible with support from the sponsors of the Passport Program, which include presenting sponsor Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant & Butik, major sponsors The Dörr Hotel, The Landmark Resort, Main Street Market, Door County Pulse, Matt and Karla Sagorac, Wild Tomato, and Wisconsin Public Radio; Passport Program partners Willow and Chris Alexander, Grasse’s Grill, The Red Putter, Sister Bay Suds, and Wood Rabbit Acupuncture.
The show begins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 4. Tickets cost $25—but thanks to the generous funding support of Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant & Butik and The Passport Program Sponsors, DCA is able to offer free tickets to Door County students and $10 tickets to accompanying family members. Advance tickets are recommended and can be made through the DCA box office, located at 3926 Highway 42 in Fish Creek. The box
