Jacksonport, Wis. (May 12, 2021) – Jacksonport will have a Farmer’s Market this year and it is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, May 18, 2021. The Market will be held at Lakeside Park in downtown Jacksonport on Tuesday mornings from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Jacksonport Farmers Market began fourteen years ago in Lakeside Park with twelve local vendors and has seen steady growth over the years. As per the State Market Permit, it is open to Door County residents and will be held every Tuesday morning through October 19 as weather permits. The market features 70% local farm produce and farm products and 30% locally hand-crafted items. All vendors are Door County residents so you know the source of their products.
The market features nearly 30 booths with many local produce growers with a wide variety of fresh garden fare each week. Fruits and vegetables vary with the season. Local craft vendors show a nice variety of quality work.
The market also features locally made breads, cookies and other tasty desserts to please every shopper. Local honey and maple syrup are also available. You’ll find a great variety of jams, jellies, meat and fresh boneless whitefish fillets, cheese and cheese curds, eggs, honey, cut flowers, hand-made soaps, plants and many interesting gifts and items for the home.
Music will be offered on a limited basis at our Market Tuesdays as per Covid 19 protocol again this year. Thus far the only scheduled group will be the Birch Creek Jazz Band. Mary Pat and Mark Carlson will provide coffee and Grab and Go food options for us this year.
Come meet your friends and neighbors and enjoy your morning at Lakeside Park at the Jacksonport Farmers Market. It’s a great opportunity for you and your family and guests to patronize Door County’s local businesses while you’re right here in Jacksonport. We appreciate your support!
The Jacksonport Farmers Market is sponsored by the Jacksonport Area Business Association.
