Gilson Pierce will be at the Plum Bottom Road location on Saturday, August 21, from 1–3pm to discuss her work. Michele Cohn, a Door County artist, create beautiful fiber paintings of Door County scenery. Whether it is a scene of a beautiful day on the water or Cana Island lighthouse, each piece is full of color and captures the County in an ideal way. Botanicals, birds, and landscapes inspire Gilson Pierce; she explores Door County taking photographs that capture popular locations. Back in her studio, she thread paints those scenes, capturing the area’s magical feel and vibrant light.
Jean Corby, a well-known fiber artist from New York, creates brilliant framed embroideries. Adorn your home with either a woodland-themed landscape or a piece from her “Flower Girls Series.” Each piece in her “Flower Girls Series” features three girls, which symbolizes her three sisters. Valerie Weberpal makes fun collectible dolls. Each doll features a colorful sweater, antique button, and eyes full of personality.
