Fine Line Designs Gallery is thrilled to announce the opening of its doors for the 2018 season, beginning on Friday, May 4 at 10:00 am.
In addition to new works by tenured Fine Line artists, the gallery is pleased to welcome several new faces to the gallery. These include two oil painters, John McGee from Madison, WI and Sandra Quintus from Clear Lake, IA; Michigan mixed media artist Stephan Palmer; glass artist Nicholas Stelter, Philadelphia jewelry artist Michelle Pressler; and Illinois-based mixed media, oil, and acrylic artist Jennifer Ross.
“We’re excited to have several new artists in addition to our long-time favorites at the gallery this year,” says Shari Gransee, owner of Fine Line Designs Gallery. “Opening weekend is one of the best parts of our season, and we’re looking forward sharing the talents of these new artists with our visitors.”
The gallery is also preparing for its first exhibit and reception of the 2018 season, which will feature oil painter Dean Bradshaw, fiber artist Martha Fieber, mixed media artist Paul Klein, and acrylic painter Richard Patt, which will premiere at Fine Line on Friday, May 25. An artist reception celebrating Exhibit I will be held on Saturday, May 26 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., with an artist demo featuring Fieber and Klein scheduled for Sunday, May 27 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The exhibit will run through Monday, July 2.
Fine Line Designs Gallery, located in scenic Door County, is housed in a 1950s chicken coop that was renovated in 1999 and turned into a multi-level gallery space. The gallery showcases seasonal, monthly rotating exhibitions, highlighting the works of selected artists along with the general display of works by over 100 regional and nationally-acclaimed artists. The gallery features original paintings, glass, jewelry, clay, custom wood furnishings, sculpture, and fiber rich in color and texture in addition to a two-acre sculpture garden adorned with pieces created from bronze, stone, metal, copper, and stainless steel.
