Fishstock Concert Series Features Eric Lewis & Friends on Sun., Sept. 1

August 29, 2019 by Laurel Ciohon

The 2019 Fishstock Concert Series will feature a performance by Eric Lewis & Friends on Sunday, September 1.

Among his many plaudits, Lewis has been nominated in consecutive years for Memphis’s Premier String Player Award and has simultaneously been a significant presence in Door County’s long-standing local music scene. Lewis has been performing with a wide range of Door County and Memphis musicians for years and will bring some of these fine musicians and songwriters along to play at his annual Eric Lewis & Friends concert. Come to Fishstock on September 1st to celebrate both Labor Day and the fine musicianship of Eric Lewis and his many good friends.

The 10-concert Fishstock Series includes a wide range of well-known musicians in the genres of folk, Americans, and alternative music. To attend a Fishstock concert, drive down County Hwy F east of Fish Creek and close to the intersection with Maple Grove Rd. you’ll notice a big white barn on the south side of the highway covered with colorful letters dubbing it “Fishstock.”

Fishstock concert tickets can be purchased at the door for $15 general admission or $20 reserved seating. For reserved seats, visit the Fishstock website and click on the ‘Buy Tickets for Reserved Seatung” on the ticket link for each scheduled artist (http://www.fishstockmusic.com/door-county-concerts.shtml).

The 100-year-old Fishstock concert barn is one of Door County’s most unique performance locations. What began in 1985 as a venture in employee housing evolved into the site of Sunday night folk, Americana and alternative music concerts.

The Fishstock Concert Series is a combination of some of the best local musicians and bands with a wide range of visiting favorites. There are seven more Sunday evenings of Fishstock’s great music and fun in the Concert Series this summer, through September 1.

Fishstock seats 150 people in the venue’s hayloft acoustic area for live intermission acts plus another 300 in the ground-level indoor area and an additional 300 in the outside seating area. Both concert ares feature independent state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems, creating a personal and rustic setting for performers and audiences alike. A digital projection system with a 10 ft. screen relays the stage views to the outdoor seating.
