Fishstock Concert Series Features “Stas and Misha” on Sunday, July 25

July 14, 2021 by Laurel Ciohon

Misha Litvin

Fish Creek, Wis. (July 14, 2021) — The 2021 Fishstock Concert Series will feature a performance by Stas and Misha on Sunday, July 25.

Stas Vanlevski and Misha Litvin of Stas and Misha are both musically stunning performers with a wonderful stage presence and incredible audience rapport. Their music ranges from classical to folk to traditional, and Stas plays the Bayan, a Russian version of the accordion.  He has toured extensively as a soloist throughout the former Soviet Union, Canada, Europe, and the United States, including numerous performances with Doc Severinsen, Steve Allen, Garrison Keillor on the Prairie Home Companion show and symphony orchestras throughout the U.S. Misha is an incredible mandolinist and a master of the Domra, the Russian mandolin. He has soloed with chamber orchestras in Russa, Italy, Germany, The Netherlands, France, and the U.S., and is a professor of mandolin at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. Originally from Minsk, Belarus, Misha holds a Masters Degree in Orchestra Conducting and Music Education.

The 10-concert Fishstock Series includes a wide range of well-known musicians in the genres of folk, Americans, and alternative music. To attend a Fishstock concert, drive down County Hwy F east of Fish Creek and close to the intersection with Maple Grove Rd. you’ll notice a big white barn on the south side of the highway covered with colorful letters dubbing it “Fishstock.”

To purchase reserved $25 seating online, visit Door County Tickets (https://doorcountytickets.com/events/stas-and-misha-7-25-2021). Fishstock concert tickets can also be purchased at the door for $20 general admission.

Stas Vanlevski

The 100-year-old Fishstock concert barn is one of Door County’s most unique performance locations. What began in 1985 as a venture in employee housing evolved into the site of Sunday night folk, Americana and alternative music concerts. There are eight more Sunday evenings of Fishstock’s great music in the Concert Series, through September 5 (Eric Lewis & Friends).

Fishstock seats 150 people in the venue’s hayloft acoustic area for live intermission acts plus another 300 in the ground-level indoor area and an additional 300 in the outside seating area. Both concert ares feature independent state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems, creating a personal and rustic setting for performers and audiences alike. A digital projection system with a 10 ft. screen relays the stage views to the outdoor seating.
