Door County, Wis. (May 7, 2024) – Board members and executives of area nonprofit organizations are invited to attend a free Nonprofit Board Training Session from 8:00 – 11:30 a.m. on May 14, 2024, at Birch Creek Music Performance Center. The training session will be organized by UW-Green Bay and will cover a broad range of topics relevant to nonprofit boards.
UW-Green Bay will bring in Jeff Hahn to deliver the interactive training session that will dive into the legal duties of board members, delineate board versus staff obligations, and explore practices for effective strategic leadership. Attendees will have the chance to learn from their peers and develop action plans to bring back to their organizations.
“There have been many requests for nonprofit board training since I joined the Community Foundation last year. We are happy and proud to present this opportunity to the organizations that uplift and brighten the Door County community,” said Jessica Holland, VP of Philanthropic Services at the Door County Community Foundation. “Hahn is a seasoned professional that will equip attendees with strategic tools.”
Hahn is the Principal of Real World Strategies LLC, a consulting practice that focuses on helping organizations develop more effective boards, create direction, and partner with other organizations. Hahn has worked with a variety of organizations bringing people together to address creative and challenging opportunities.

The Nonprofit Board Training Session is the first in a series of free educational offerings for charitable organizations in Door County. The sessions are hosted in partnership by the Door County Community Foundation, the Door County Nonprofit Group, United Way of Door County, and Raibrook Foundation.
