The Coyote Roadhouse, owned by Carole Groth, is a casual, roadhouse tavern right on the edge of beautiful Kangaroo Lake. “It’s most likely you will see a canoe or kayak launching daily,” said General Manager Carrie Graybill.
“The Coyote” is open year round from 11 am serving lunch and dinner. The cozy interior has rustic wood, antique artifacts and wooden booths that run the length of the bar. An outdoor deck adds more seating with a view of the lake and an area for kids to play while waiting to be served. 40+ beers from Guinness to Fat Tire are offered, plus top shelf cocktails.
Baby Back Ribs that fall off the bone are a house specialty. You can also special order the seasonal Turkey Pot Pie, but they go quick! “If you like onion rings you must try the heaping loaf of thin, delicately fried strands that melt in your mouth,” Carrie said.
Stop in for the best in comfort food, including the best thick, delicious quesadilla with fresh salsa, the Garbage Salad with every veggie you could dream of, and Friday night all-you-can-eat Grouper.
