Fish Creek, Wis. (August 17, 2026) – On Sunday, August 23, at 8 p.m., G. Love & Special Sauce will perform on the Door County Auditorium (DCA) Main Stage. Special guests Todd Carey and DIZZYISDEAD will open the show.
G. Love & Special Sauce is an American hip-hop blues band known for its unique fusion of hip-hop, blues, funk, and soul. Formed in 1993, the trio quickly gained attention for their laid-back, groovy style and G. Love’s unique vocal delivery, blending rap-like spoken word with bluesy singing. Their debut self-titled album, G. Love & Special Sauce, was released in 1994 on Epic Records and included the hit single “Cold Beverage.” Frequently incorporating elements of ’90s hip-hop beats with classic blues rhythms, the band’s style has been described as a mix of “alternative hip-hop” and “slacker blues.”
Rolling Stone called G. Love “an innovative concoction.”
Two special guests will open the show: Todd Carey, a singer-songwriter with deep Wisconsin connections; and DIZZYISDEAD, a Canadian alternative artist based in British Columbia. Both special guests boast millions of listens on streaming services.
Prior to the show, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Door County’s own Paul Taylor and Jay Lang will perform on the Okarma Concert Patio, located across the street at DCA’s new Cramer Exchange facility. Beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, ice cream floats, and snacks will be available for purchase from Chuck & Chichi’s Soda Fountain & Encore Bar.
G. Love’s performance begins at 8 p.m. on August 23 and is sponsored by major sponsors Rick and Tina Lieberman and The DöRR Hotel, as well as supporting sponsor Peninsula Pulse.
Tickets range from $45-69; advance reservations are encouraged.
