George Sawyn moved up from Chicago years ago and his guitar playing has been a true gift to Door County. Playing in wedding bands for over 35 years, George can play just about anything and always takes requests. He has played in the pit orchestra for Always: Patsy Cline, The Full Monty, and Bridges of Madison County at Peninsula Players, and has recorded and performed with many Door County musicians. He has also performed at many weddings in Door County.
Sawyn invites us to “Come out for an evening of solo guitar; my introspective original music, improvisations, jazz, and possibly a bit of iPad electronica.” Jeanne Kuhns will sing a couple of tunes with him, too, as they are working on a cd of standards to be released this fall.
Show starts at 7 pm. Tickets $20 cash at the door. This is a cozy venue with 25 seats, a perfect way to spend a winters night in the company of fellow music lovers.
