The recently created “Northern Haus” in Sister Bay stands ready to host just about any event guests may envision: from weddings to business gatherings, art fairs, bachelor/bachelorette parties, family reunions – even for culinary classes, wine tasting and mixology classes.
Enhanced by the catering skills of some of Door County’s finest chefs, up to 300 guests can be accommodated in either indoor or outdoor settings, with menus crafted to the individual styles and vision of hosts. The owners of the vibrant venture, Nick Hofkamp and Sara Anderson, say they are able to assure events are personalized to the exact vision of their guests.
Sara says Northern Haus offers “a blank slate to allow a guest’s visions to come to life.” In partnering with the masterful chefs at Alexander’s, Chefusion Eclectic Cuisine, Crave Cuisine, McEvoy’s Culinaria, Door County Creamery, Gracious Events and Limelight Catering, Anderson says Northern Haus events will long be remembered for uniqueness, unparalleled service, excellent Preferred Vendors as well as the choices in cuisine.
Bolstered by the array of talent, Anderson said Northern Haus ensures a wide variety of food options: from plated dinners to family style service, “station” setups or interactive dining experiences. Adding to the array is a unique, cooperative venture with local food truck vendors, who can arrive on site for less formal, late night appetites.
A luxurious farmhouse nestled on 30 acres provides an on-site catering kitchen and full bar to meet the needs of the specialty chefs and clients. Besides stunning indoor spaces touched with modern day farmhouse meets industrial finishes, Northern Haus’s “Gambrel Room” and “Northern Wing” have easy access to tranquil paths that lead to the “forest retreat,” with optional use of an expansive covered porch, meadows, manicured lawns and fire pit, all ideal for cocktail hour and ceremonies.
