Hand Picked Bluegrass Band (HPBB) from Tomahawk, WI will appear at the Fishstock Music Series on July 29 in Fish Creek.
This multi-talented group prides itself on their strong musical ability and powerful vocal arrangements. Their innovative approach to “acoustically grown” music ranges from bluegrass to swing and everything in between. Besides their own originals, the group draws its material from a wide variety of artists creating a truly unique sound of their own. Bluegrass Unlimited calls HPBB “a delightful offering of down-home bluegrass that is guaranteed to please and delight anyone who enjoys precise picking and harmonious vocals”
The group was founded in 2006 and that year went on to debut their first musical project “Do What You Gotta Do.” Since then, the group has produced three additional projects, and are currently working on their fifth. Joe Cronick (mandolin, fiddle) writes much of the HPBB material. Additional band members include Sue Cronick (guitar and fiddle), Bruce Royal (bass). Dale Reichert (banjo and dobro) provides that “bluegrass drive “and is a member of the High Water Band. All are contributing vocalists. Through the years the band has shared the stage with many of the bluegrass greats and legends including Bill Monroe, Vassar Clements, Rhonda Vincent, the Gibson Brothers, just to name a few. Their combined years of talent show in their spirited performances.
