Sturgeon Bay, Wis. (May 22, 2026) – The trails at Crossroads at Big Creek will soon be filled with runners, walkers, families, and friends as the 17th Annual Crossroads Trail Run approaches. The event takes place on Saturday, June 13 at 8:00 a.m., inviting people of all ages and abilities to enjoy a 2K, 5K, or 10K experience through one of Door County’s most loved natural spaces.
More than just a race, the Trail Run has become a community tradition. It’s a chance to get outside, connect with others, and spend time in nature—whether you’re aiming for a personal best or simply enjoying a walk with friends or family.
Last year, more than 300 participants took to the trails, helping raise nearly $20,000 to support Crossroads’ work. Those funds help keep the trails open year-round at no cost and make it possible to offer free educational programs that inspire curiosity and care for the natural world.
Registration is $35 through June 12 and $40 on race day, with reduced pricing for youth ages 8–14 at $15. Children 7 and under and adults 70 and older are welcome to participate free of charge. Registration is available at www.crossroadsrun.com.
The event is designed to be welcoming and flexible—participants can choose a 2K, 5K, or 10K route, making it easy for anyone to join in at their own pace. Everyone who registers will receive a small native tree to take home, along with post-run refreshments to enjoy together.
Packet pick-up will be held at the Collins Learning Center (2041 Michigan St., Sturgeon Bay):
- Wednesday, June 10 – Thursday, June 11: 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Friday, June 12: 9:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
- Race-day pick-up will also be available
Whether you come to run, walk, or simply spend time outdoors with others, the Crossroads Trail Run is a chance to slow down, take in the landscape, and be part of something that strengthens both community and connection to nature.
