Fish Creek, Wis. (June 25, 2025) – On Monday, June 30, at 8 p.m., Door Community Auditorium (DCA) will present Hurray for the Riff Raff in concert on its Main Stage. Greg Mendez will open the show.
Alynda Segarra, Hurray for the Riff Raff founder, has been something of a modern Huck Finn, an itinerant traveler whose adventures prompt art that reminds us there are always other ways to live. Born in the Bronx and of Puerto Rican heritage, Segarra train-hopped their way across the country before eventually finding home—spiritual, emotional, physical—in New Orleans, where they formed a hobo band. As Hurray for the Riff Raff, they rose steadily from house shows to a major label on the strength of their one-of-a-kind songwriting and magnetic live performances—maintaining through it all a devotion to the outsider.
Third Coast Review wrote, “Hurray for the Riff Raff puts on one colossus of a show.”
Hurray for the Riff Raff’s performance is made possible with support from major sponsors Dörr Hotel, Martha Luber-Pelrine and Ray Pelrine, Peninsula Pulse, and Tom and Barbara Thurman; as well as supporting sponsors Blacksmith Inn on the Shore and Peapod Marketing
