Fish Creek, Wis. (September 13, 2021) – On Sunday, September 19, at 2 p.m., three songwriters—Katie Dahl of Door County; Karen Mal of Austin, Texas; and David Stoddard of Minneapolis, Minnesota—will perform their original songs at Northern Sky’s Gould Theater in Fish Creek.
Katie Dahl is well-known throughout the peninsula for her smart, original songs with a deep sense of place. Now based in Austin, Texas, Karen Mal has performed in Door County for decades, developing a strong reputation for her remarkable voice, prodigious instrumental skills, and jazz-inflected folk songs. Minnesotan David Stoddard has performed several times in Door County to enthusiastic crowds and toured widely, winning fans and accolades nationwide with his compelling, eclectic songwriting.
At the Gould, Dahl, Mal, and Stoddard will take turns singing original songs, adding harmonies and instrumental textures to one another’s work.
Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased in advance at www.katiedahlmusic.com. Face masks are required. Concert organizers are selling only 50% capacity of tickets to allow for social distancing. The Gould Theater is located at 9058 County Road A, Fish Creek.
