Egg Harbor, Wis. (May 23, 2022) – Woodwalk Gallery’s show, the Magical Mysterious Tour, is an extension of the juried online show held by Woodwalk Gallery during March and April.
Co-owner, Jillaine Seefeldt, says, “I love that that so many of our own artists decided to enter so I thought featuring their submissions along with the prize winners would be a captivating selection that carries the spirit of the on-line show. Since this is a national call, we have prize winners are from all over, from Israel to the east coast and Kansas. This show lets your imagination wander through color, whimsy, nature and creative stories.”
The opening reception is Sunday, May 29 starting at 3pm with demos by artists Michael Harper, Kandy Otto and Erin Prais-Hintz. Enjoy refreshments and treats, along with the lovely music of George Sawyn. Demonstrations will run until 5:30 and the reception until 6:00pm.
The respected judge, Elizabeth Meissner-Gigstead, Executive director of the Miller Art Museum gave her own impressions, “… It was a great honor to partner with Woodwalk Gallery for this year’s online virtual exhibition, Magical Mysterious Tour! The sheer breadth of media and subject matter in submissions made this truly a difficult task, narrowing a pool of 813 amazingly diverse works, both 2 and 3-dimensional, down to just 40….grouping of works that would be both compelling and uniquely reflective of these words: Magical. Mysterious. Tour. I was excited by those works that had an element of magic—almost fantastical on some level—and drawn to others that had a more defined mysterious appeal….Ultimately, the final exhibit is reflective of a high level of craftsmanship and competency with the chosen media—the most critical elements of a successful exhibition—and offers an exciting virtual journey of the magical and mysterious. Enjoy!”
In addition to a full season of fabulous fine art, the Gallery is in its 4th year of unique farm to table dining experiences which reflect world cuisines using local meats and produce. Woodwalk partners with Ohana Hospitality for a robust and interesting dining experience.
You can also find music at Woodwalk this year with Katie Dahl, Harmonious Wail, Eric Lewis with the Griffon Quartet and Midsummers Music. Returning this year is the ever-popular Buckets of Rain.
