Sturgeon Bay, Wis. (November 24, 2020) – Learn the history of Door County’s largest employer on Thursday, December 3, when Theresa and Stewart Fett present the History of Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding Company for the next session of the Museum’s 2020-2021 Maritime Speaker Series, sponsored by Door County Medical Center.
Stewart will start with Bay Shipbuilding’s humble beginnings in 1902, talk about the significant contributions the shipyard has made in shipbuilding history, right up to what is happening at Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding today, Fett retired as a Production Manager from Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding in 2019, and was a shipyard employee for over 46 years.
For now, the Maritime Speaker Series will remain virtual, streaming live at 7pm on Thursday, December 3. This link will allow you to register in advance for the virtual presentation.
