Fish Creek, Wis. (September 15, 2023) – On Thursday, September 28, at 7 p.m., Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives will perform on the Door Community Auditorium (DCA) Main Stage. Stuart returns after wildly successful appearances at DCA in 2021 and 2022.
Back at DCA by massive popular demand, Marty Stuart is living, breathing country music history, and he’s one of the best live performers on the circuit today. A caretaker of vast troves of country music memories and memorabilia (including a collection of Johnny Cash’s black boots), Stuart is also a contemporary tour de force who sets concert halls ablaze with his potent western and rockabilly tunes.
The Guardian wrote “If you only go to one country music concert, then let it be Marty Stuart’s,” calling the show “a high-wire act . . . honky tonk pathos and kinetic country rock.”
When it comes to transforming country songs into tangible experience, Stuart has a secret weapon: His Fabulous Superlatives. Made up of guitarist Kenny Vaughan, drummer Harry Stinson, and a new member, bassist Chris Scruggs, the Superlatives are a rocking, rollicking extension of Stuart himself.
