Fans of Midsummer’s Music musicians Margaret Butler, oboe, and Heather Zinninger-Yarmel will be delighted to know they will perform with Milwaukee Musaik’s March 2 and April 9 concerts!
The March 2 concert – Dusk to Dawn – features Night Music for Flute and String Quartet by A. Foote, Symphony #104 in D Major, “London,” by J. Haydn and P. Salomon, as well as Octet for Winds and String Quartet in E-Flat Major, Op. 96, by A. Reicha.
The Dusk to Dawn concert begins at 7:00 pm at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music in Milwaukee. General admission tickets are $25.
The Clazzical Chamber Orchestra concert on April 9 includes Ancient Airs and Dances Suite No. 3 by O. Respighi andConcerto for Flute and Harp in C Major, K. 299, by Mozart. The event also includes the American chamber premiere of Nikolai Kapustin’s virtuostic Piano Concert No. 2, “JAZZ”.
The Clazzical Chamber Orchestra concert starts at 7:00 pm at the Woman’s Club of Wisconsin. General admission tickets are $30.
The Milwaukee Musaik, formerly known as the Milwaukee Chamber Orchestra, is Milwaukee’s only self-governing chamber orchestra consortium, and one of only 65 chamber orchestras in the nation.
