Fish Creek, Wis. (June 22, 2021) – On Friday, June 25 at 8 p.m., Door County crowd favorites Mighty Mouth will bring their wide-ranging, high-energy music to the DCA Main Stage.
Mighty Mouth’s concert will be the first concert of DCA’s 30th anniversary season, a season that marks DCA’s long-awaited reopening after its 2020 season was entirely scuttled by the pandemic.
Mighty Mouth is the bluesy cousin of perennial peninsula favorite Big Mouth. Featuring Jay Whitney (guitar and vocals), Paul Sowinski (bass and vocals), Rich Schelk (keyboards), Bryan Koenig (harmonica and vocals), Danny Lueck (drums), and Pete Thelen (vocals), Mighty Mouth will be joined at DCA by special guests Woody Mankowski (saxophone and vocals) and Eli Mattson (piano and vocals).
Between them, Mighty Mouth’s members have variously recorded with blues legends, written a song for a Bollywood movie, and played at Lambeau Field. And as a group, they’ve kept the good-time blues rolling at countless venues and festivals across Door County and beyond.
The Peninsula Pulse writes that Mighty Mouth “will continue to transcend generations, as they’ve always done … keeping audiences happy.”
Big Mouth’s performance is made possible with support from Kocourek Auto and The Cordon Family Foundation.
The show begins at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 18. All tickets are $30. DCA is operating at a socially distanced 25% capacity. Face masks are required as the auditorium is on Gibraltar Schools’ k12 school campus. Advance reservations are recommended and can be made through the DCA box office, located at 3926 Highway 42 in Fish Creek. The box office is open Monday-Friday, 12-5 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in person, on the phone at (920) 868-2728, or online at www.dcauditorium.org.
