Fish Creek, Wis. (August 18, 2021) – On Saturday, August 28, at 8 p.m., indie folk duo Dead Horses will return to the Door Community Auditorium (DCA) Main Stage by popular demand.
Dead Horses is an intimate folk duo made up of two close friends: guitarist/singer Sarah Vos and bassist Daniel Wolff. This Milwaukee-based pair weaves together a vibrant patchwork of classic and contemporary influences that connect traditional roots with indie folk and other experimental musical idioms.
Rolling Stone says Dead Horses delivers“smoky vocals, cinematic lyrics . . . a beautifully uncluttered collection of songs.”
Dead Horses has toured extensively, charting on the Americana Top 50 radio charts, accruing more than 20 million spins on Spotify, and being named a Rolling Stone “Artist You Should Know.” Through it all, Vos’s emotive songwriting and Wolff’s intrepid bass playing have transcended genre to create songs that are personal, revelatory, and redemptive.
Dead Horses’ performance is made possible with support from major sponsors Kocourek Auto and WPR.
The show begins at 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 28. All tickets cost $30 and are still available. Face masks are required regardless of vaccination status.
