Baileys Harbor, Wis. (April 22, 2022) – The Ridges Sanctuary will host an Artist Reception, titled “Nature’s Medley” on May 5th from 4-6 pm, featuring the works of talented Door County artist, Marcia Nickols.
Nickols work includes water-based oils, mixed media, watercolors and wool felt art. With a master’s degree in art education, Nickols has taught all grades on how to “see” and be creative. She currently is spending time developing her painting and working with different art groups and programs in Door County.
Marcia’s work is currently on display at the Ridges Nature Center through the month of May. The exhibit is open to the public, and everyone is encouraged to stop by.

The Ridges Sanctuary is a 1,600-acre private, non-profit nature preserve located in Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin. It is listed as a National Natural Landmark, Important Bird Area and Wisconsin State Natural Area. Founded in 1937, the Ridges was protected as Wisconsin’s first land trust to protect and preserve the sensitive habitat found in Baileys Harbor. Today, The Ridges continues to serve Baileys Harbor through its mission of Education, Research and Land Preservation.
