Door Community Auditorium teams up with The Door County Civility Project to present Door County Talks, a series of five free lectures presented in the cozy Fireside Lobby. This year’s series is themed around promoting civility, strengthening community, and encouraging empathy.
The second lecture in this series will be held this Saturday, January 19 at 10am. Dr. Ryan Martin will speak about “Living in the Digital Rage: Dealing with Anger, Hostility, and Violence Online.” It’s no secret that social media platforms and other online environments are often very hostile places. This talk will explore the scientific literature on internet anger, including providing concrete solutions for how to keep your cool online and also how to deal with the online anger of others.
Kick Ash Coffee will be on hand with coffee and bakery available for purchase. All Door County Talks include a short break, a post-talk Q&A with the speaker, and a chance to meet and reconnect with Door County friends and neighbors. These events are free to attend. Free-will donations are accepted.
