Sister Bay, Wis. (April 13, 2020) – Little Sister Puzzle Company and Frykman Studio Gallery are proud to announce their new line of magic light boxes! Ok, they’re not really magic, but they are guaranteed to brighten your nights with their warm glow.
David and Luke Fryman worked together to design the light boxes while each were self-isolating in early spring of 2020, sending files back and forth by email (the boxes were mostly designed on their computers). Luke, using a computer controlled laser cutter cut out David’s latest box iteration, glued it up, and set it outside on his doorstep. David, on his morning walk, picked up the latest box and took it home to make any necessary changes to the design.
Two of the boxes are salutes to Door County; The Tower Box features Cana Island Lighthouse, Peninsula State Park’s Eagle Tower, a pair of courting swans, and a school of Friday night perch. The Trees Box features some of our favorite Door County trees; maple, ash, cherry and a mighty pine with an eagle’s nest on top.
Each box is 3-3/4“ x 3-3/4“ x 3-3/4“ with a removable top and comes with a battery powered LED candle. Do not use real candles, as the boxes are made of wood.
