Nicolet Bank Joins Family of Open Door Bird Sanctuary Supporters

May 1, 2026 by Laurel Ciohon

Jacksonport, Wis. (May 1, 2026) – As Open Door Bird Sanctuary (ODBS) gears up for this year’s annual Hoot-e-Nanny fundraiser, the Sanctuary is elated to welcome Nicolet Bank to the family of supporters.

This year, Nicolet Bank stepped up with a $1500 sponsorship for the event, along with an additional $500 general donation. Through the advocacy of Lori Delorit who is a Personal Banker on Sturgeon Bay’s west side, as well as a newer member of the Raptor Team, the Sanctuary was submitted for these funds.

Jillaine Seefeldt, Administration & Development Director, noted how impactful it is to add them to the roster of event sponsors. “Our business partners large and small really stick with us once they see not only how successful the Hoot is, but more importantly how we turn every dollar right around to fund the operation of ODBS. Caring for our raptor residents is always paramount, but building and caring for our staff is equally important as without this small group of people, everything would cease to function.”

Seefeldt, mentioned there are multiple levels of sponsorship from $250 to $1000 or higher, if desired. These are good-will sponsorships that just come with promotion of the business through ODBS channels. Sponsors like Ecology and Dave’s Tree Service have been on board since nearly the beginning and with generous business sponsors, all other dollars raised go directly to ODBS – there are no “middle men.”

For more information about the Hoot-e-Nanny, including becoming an event sponsor, please contact Jillaine Seefeldt at Jillaine.seefledt@opendoorbirdsanctuary.org or call 414-897-6569.

Open Door Bird Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 non-profit located at 4114 Couty Rd I near Jacksonport. www.opendoorbirdsanctuary.org.
