Fish Creek, Wis. (August 9, 2021) – On Monday, August 16, at 8 p.m., Southern blues rock band North Mississippi Allstars will perform on the Door Community Auditorium (DCA) Main Stage.
Brothers Luther and Cody Dickinson grew up soaking in the music of their father, Memphis legend Jim Dickinson, absorbing north Mississippi’s musical legacy through nights at the local juke joints. In 1996, Luther (guitar, vocals) and Cody (drums, vocals) decided to use this musical background as the foundation for a new band, and the North Mississippi Allstars were born, pioneering their own brand of blues-infused rock and roll.
Pop Matters calls North Mississippi Allstars’ music “intoxicating…addictive.”
With special guests like Jason Isbell and Mavis Staples, North Mississippi Allstars’ latest album Up and Rolling carries on the band’s signature “profound organic Southern rocking groove” (American Songwriter).
The performance by North Mississippi Allstars is made possible with support from major sponsors Kocourek Auto and Peninsula Pulse.
The show begins at 8 p.m. on Monday, August 16. Tickets range from $25-45 and are still available. Face masks are required.
