Fish Creek, Wis. (April 24, 2020) – Northern Sky Theater, in Door County, Wisconsin, has announced that it will offer a new type of ticket pass for future shows. The company is calling it a Promise Pass.
In light of the cancellation of its outdoor summer season in Peninsula State Park, Northern Sky hopes that the public will consider buying the promise of a performance in the form of a Promise Pass, which can be traded in for a ticket at any time in the future.
Promise Passes can be used for a show at the outdoor Park Amphitheater or the indoor Gould Theater. Promise Passes also retain either venue’s highest ticket-type value, even if ticket prices increase in the future. The opportunity to buy Promise Passes will end July 31, 2020.
“A Promise Pass is good forever. It’s a little like a flexible-Forever-Stamp,” stated managing director, Dave Maier. “And as a bonus offer, for every group of four Promise Passes that are ordered, we’ll offer a fifth pass for free.”
Ann Birnschein, Marketing Director, points out, “This is our best ticket offer ever!”
In a video released on April 17th, Northern Sky leadership staff members Doc Heide, Dave Maier, Molly Rhode and Holly Feldman joined artistic director Jeff Herbst in stating, “We promise to be waiting for you. You can count on us. And while we wait to be together again, we hope we can count on you.”
The video goes on, “We promise…when we see you again, we’ll bring you joy and music and laughter. And we’ll do our best to be a beacon of light in these unusual times. Let’s promise each other that the best is yet to come!”
Maier added, “Much of our operations depend on advance ticket sales for cash flow. Since our season calendar has shrunk and our opening dates remain unclear, buying a Promise Pass would be a great help to us at this time.”
Northern Sky continues to offer their “Northern Sky at Home” series via social media or email to bring virtual joy, laughter and music until they can resume performances in person.
Northern Sky Theater Promise Passes can be purchased on the company’s website at NorthernSkyTheater.com/promise. The company hopes to present an abbreviated run of “Dad’s Season Tickets” in the Gould Theater, beginning as soon as circumstances allow. Northern Sky’s fall season schedule at the Gould remains unchanged for the time being: “Naked Radio,” scheduled to run September 11th to October 31st, and “And If Elected,” October 9th to 29th.
