Jacksonport, Wis. (August 14, 2023) – The popular Hoot-e-Nanny fundraiser, held annually at Woodwalk Gallery, has been instrumental in providing funding for various larger scale projects at the sanctuary. For the last couple years, those funds have been used to balance out a more robust operational budget which includes two paid staff members. The sanctuary has grown exponentially in the last couple of years with hundreds of private tours. There are many more on-site programs with schools and local groups like the Sunshine House and dozens of off-site programs at familiar sites like Peninsula and Newport State Parks. There are also unexpected places like the Landmark Resort and Pheasant Park Lodge.
The Hoot-e-Nanny is an opportunity to come out to a special place and enjoy an evening of Raptors, great food and drink, and music by DJ Michael Raye all in support of the 34-acre preserve. Now boasting 19 residents, including Oslo the new Snowy Owl, this fundraiser helps with critical daily operations and the dedicated staff working day in and day out.
You can also find a fabulous auction at Biddingowl.com with a special raffle on-site only for attendees. Dinner provided is by Culinaria and FlourGirl Patissier. Come on out and give Hoot!
