Jacksonport, Wis. (April 23, 2021) – Open Door Bird Sanctuary has announced the introduction of a pair of fun and family friendly events called Raptor Rambles.
The first event is on Thursday, June 3. It will be an opportunity to meet and learn about daytime birds of prey. Starting with a pancake breakfast at 9am in the picnic area, attendees will then be given a trail map and will set out in small groups out to discover various falcons and hawks out on the trail system. The resident raptors will be with a handler who will explain all of the cool facts about their particular bird. It’s a great way to see other parts of the sanctuary that you haven’t gotten to previously, and also a great way to discover the Sanctuary as a first time visitor.
The other viewing areas on the property will also be open during the 9-11am event. Stay tuned for details the second Raptor Rambles event, coming on September 10.
