Jacksonport, Wis. (Jun 10, 2024) – Open Door Bird Sanctuary will officially kick off the summer season with its first public day on Saturday, June 15. Open every Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm through Aug 31, they will also include Friday, July 5, and Sunday, September 1 in the roster of public days.
Now with 20 raptor residents, including hawks, owls, falcons, and eagles, you’ll want to make an afternoon if it! Bring a picnic lunch, relax, and explore the trails, Nature Center and visit with all of the birds presented by the knowledgeable volunteer team.
If a Saturday is not working for you, with a scheduled private tour you can still visit ODBS every other day
of the week, just check our online calendar for available times, dates and all essential information you will need.
In addition, ODBS is continuing their weekly Summer Day Camps for kids of all ages. Running for 8 weeks, you can try one, two or all of them for a thorough exploration of nature’s flora and fauna. Camp Days are Thursdays and Fridays with a different age group each day. They start July 11 running through August 30. All of the class offerings and registration information can be found at opendoorbirdsanctuary.org. Don’t wait to register – space is limited.
