These fascinating birds of prey are known for their distinct calls, nocturnal habits, and silent flight. There will be great learning experiences for the entire family. Activities include night hikes, crafts and workshops*, live birds from the Open Door Bird Sanctuary and even a demonstration from an international award-winning taxidermist!

Friday, March 1 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM (Ridges Sanctuary)
Join a Ridges naturalist to learn more about the owls of Door County and the characteristics that make them amazing nighttime hunters. We’ll head into the night to listen and then return to the Nature Center for a mug of hot chocolate by the campfire (weather permitting). Suitable for all ages.

Join a Ridges naturalist for a second opportunity to listen for owls at a new location! These nighttime hunters are going to be active so come ready with your listening ears.
