PBS Wisconsin Education has a fun companion piece to the Wisconsin Lighthouses film, as part of their series The Look Back. It features a tour of the Pottawatomie Lighthouse and includes a visit to the Jim Kress Maritime Lighthouse Tower at the Door County Maritime Museum in Sturgeon Bay!
PBS Wisconsin Education has also created a 3D virtual tour of Cana Island lighthouse! Learn what it took to maintain this iconic Door County lighthouse in this virtual window into life on Cana Island 150 years ago. Walk the grounds, listen to the sounds, and read the logbooks of daily duties of a lighthouse keeper. With images by Caldecott Award-winning illustrator Sophie Blackall (Hello Lighthouse), you can see what family life was like inside Cana Island Lighthouse.
