Fish Creek, Wis. (November 8, 2021) – Peninsula School of Art (PenArt), 3900 County Road F, Fish Creek, is a hosting its first-ever Gingerbread Bash on Wednesday, November 17, from 6-9pm.
“Everyone in Door County worked so hard this summer. We took care of our visitors, clients, and customers, now it’s time for us to have some fun!” said Executive Director Catherine Hoke
The “we made it thru the season, pre-holiday party” is open to anyone 21 and over. PenArt will provide cardboard gingerbread house forms, as well as all the candy and decorating supplies. Food and beverages will be also be served. Gingerbread creations will be on display following th event, through Family Art Day on Saturday, November 20. People’s Choice awards will be given for best house and other categories.
Attendees may come as a team (friends, employees, co-workers) or join a team when they arrive. It is suggested that between four and eight people work on each gingerbread house. No pre-registration is required and a suggested donation $10 per person is appreciated. All proceeds benefit PenArt’s Public Programs that provide free and accessible arts experiences to over 3500 Door County children and families every year.
Continuing with the spirit of giving, Peninsula School of Art will be collecting items for the United States Marines’ Toys for Tots program. A collection bin will be placed at the entrance to the School’s Guenzel Gallery until Friday, December 11.
