Egg Harbor, Wis. (February 18, 2026) — Peninsula Music Festival’s (PMF) FebFest concludes on Sunday, February 22 at 2:00 PM with Americana, a vibrant and spirited celebration of American music featuring renowned pianist Jodie DeSalvo and Wisconsin native Cynthia Stiehl, mezzo-soprano, at the Birch Creek Music Performance Center in Egg Harbor.
This dynamic program highlights beloved American composers including Confrey, Joplin, Fine, Gershwin, Sousa, and Cobb. Audiences can look forward to favorites such as The Entertainer, Maple Leaf Rag, Dizzy Fingers, selections from a Gershwin tribute including Embraceable You and I Got Rhythm, and the iconic Rhapsody in Blue.
Jodie DeSalvo has captured national and international acclaim for her classical and jazz interpretations of keyboard masterworks. Following her Carnegie Hall debut after winning the Artist International Competition, she has appeared as a soloist with orchestras in Chicago, Geneva, Lucerne, San Francisco, Hartford, and Chautauqua. A graduate of the Hartt and Manhattan Schools of Music and former student of John Browning and Gary Graffman, DeSalvo is also a past recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts Artist Fellowship Grant. DeSalvo has deep connections to Door County, having served as an instructor at Birch Creek Music Performance Center for 30 years.
Cynthia Stiehl, a Wisconsin native and graduate of the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music, is a celebrated mezzo-soprano known for her focus on American repertoire. She has performed widely throughout Door County and beyond in benefit concerts for the Peninsula Music Festival, Northern Sky Theater, Midsummer’s Music, Birch Creek, and many other organizations.
Stiehl has presented recitals of works by Samuel Barber and Aaron Copland, premiered compositions written especially for her, and recorded Moravian Songs for The Peninsula Music Festival Presents. She remains a beloved presence in the local arts community.

Cynthia Stiehl is a longtime friend of the festival and a Door County treasure,” said Lisa Harper, PMF Executive Director. “Bringing Jodie and Cynthia together to perform these American classics is the perfect way to wrap up our winter series.”
Established in 1998, FebFest brings Peninsula Music Festival musicians together each winter for intimate chamber performances, offering audiences a rare opportunity to experience world-class artistry in a welcoming, up-close setting.
