Peninsula Pet of the Week: Bear

June 23, 2026 by Laurel Ciohon

Bear is 11 years old, weighs 40 pounds, and is available for adoption at the Wisconsin Humane Society Door County Campus. Bear is a super sweet senior who loves staying by your side and soaking up all your attention. Staff say he can be a little shy when you first meet him, but he quickly warms up after a nice walk and a few tasty treats. With his gentle nature and friendly personality, he would make a wonderful addition to any home.

Like all dogs at WHS, Bear is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He also goes home with a free bag of starter food and a certificate for a free vet exam. Come visit Bear during adoption hours at the Wisconsin Humane Society Door County Campus and take him home the very same day!
