Peninsula Pet of the Week: Burdock

March 6, 2019 by Laurel Ciohon

Burdock is a 2-year-old male available for adoption at the WHS Door County Campus. When he first arrived as a stray, he was very scared, confused, and wanted nothing to do with humans. He had scratches on his nose and terrible mats in his fur.

Thanks to the commitment, patience, and compassion of our staff and volunteers, the Burdock you see today is nothing like the Burdock who came through our doors on February 18. Now he enjoys the company of humans and even purrs while being petted. Burdock might look like a tough guy, but deep down he’s a softy. Once his glorious, long fur grows back, he will be even more handsome.

Like all cats at WHS, Burdock is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, plus you get to name your own adoption fee!
