Egg Harbor, Wis. (May 28, 2024) – Plum Bottom Gallery, a renowned Door County art destination, is delighted to announce its upcoming Annual Outdoor Art Show. This special event will take place on Saturday, May 25 from 11 AM – 3 PM and Sunday, May 26 from 11 AM – 3 PM with an artist reception on Saturday, May 25 from 1 PM – 3 PM at our Plum Bottom Road location.
Join us as we kick off the beginning of summer season and celebrate our outdoor glass and steel artists while helping you find a new one-of-a-kind piece for your outdoor spaces! Featured artists include Sue Pruss (Glass), Curtis Hall (Steel), Caryn Brown (Glass), Sharon Miller Thompson (Glass), Jeremey Burdette (Steel), Rose Kleman (Glass), David Robinson (Wood), and Cheryl English (Ceramic).
Sue Pruss, featured artists, will be at our artist reception on Saturday, May 25 from 1 PM – 3 PM. Trained and inspired by local Door County glass artists, Sue’s passion was hidden for 60 years. It wasn’t until retirement when she dabbled a bit in different art mediums that she found her true passion, transforming glass into art. Pruss loves colorful kiln-formed landscapes with an emphasis on flowers and trees. She carefully hand cuts each petal or tree branch while organically creating her next art piece. Once her basic design is complete, the piece may undergo multiple kiln firings until the desired effect is created. Her passion for nature shows through in her one-of-a-kind creations. Chad Luberger, gallery owner, says “there’s something truly magical about watching a young artist harness her potential and create a body of work that truly encapsulates the feelings of Door County.”
Plum Bottom Gallery’s Annual Outdoor Art Show will take place on S Saturday, May 25 from 11 AM – 3 PM and Sunday, May 26 from 11 AM – 3 PM with an artist reception on Saturday, May 25 from 1 PM – 3 PM at our Plum Bottom Road location.
