Fish Creek, Wis. (September 30, 2021) – On Saturday and Sunday, October 9 and 10, at 7:00 p.m, Door Community Auditorium (DCA) will present “Buckets of Rain: The Songs of Bob Dylan” on its Main Stage. Memphis multi-instrumentalist Eric Lewis, California-based string player Chris Irwin, local folk crooners Katie Dahl and Jeanne Kuhns, and bassist-percussionists Rich Higdon and Patrick Palmer will all perform in this tribute to one of America’s very best songwriters.
In “Buckets of Rain,” this Door County supergroup has created one of the peninsula’s most popular concert traditions. Since 2011, the Buckets band has dipped annually into the deep well of Dylan’s work, breathing new life into classic songs like “Forever Young,” “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door,” and “Blowin’ in the Wind.”
“With only a couple exceptions, we’ve performed Buckets of Rain almost every year since 2011, when Bob Dylan was turning 70,” said performer Katie Dahl. “This year, he’s turning 80, and I think I speak for the whole band when I say we’re having more fun than ever playing his songs—finding new ones to love, and loving the old ones even more. It’s a stunning group of folks to get to play with, and an amazing canon of work to draw on.”
Buckets of Rain is made possible with support from major sponsor Wood Rabbit Acupuncture and supporting sponsor The Cordon Family Foundation.
