Fish Creek, Wis. (June 8, 2022) – On Thursday, June 16, at 8 p.m., Door Community Auditorium (DCA) will open its 2022-23 season with a concert by powerhouse singer-songwriter Patty Griffin on the Auditorium’s Main Stage.
Patty Griffin is among the most consequential singer-songwriters of her generation, a quintessentially American artist whose wide-ranging canon and nimble, captivating voice explore the intimate moments and universal emotions that bind us together.
American Songwriter calls Griffin’s work “urgent and soulful . . . an emotional gut-punch.”
Over the course of two decades, Griffin (a two-time Grammy winner and seven-time nominee) has compiled a remarkable body of work, prompting the New York Times to hail her for “[writing] cameo-carved songs that create complete emotional portraits of specific people….[Her] songs have independent lives that continue in your head when the music ends.”
